An information session will be held for all those interested in going to Haiti on September 21st from 7-8 PM at Resurrection.

Points: 700
Dates: February 17th-24th, 2018 OR April 14th-21st, 2018
Applications Due: All forms and photo copy of passport for both trips are due October 1st (Upon acceptance, remaining paperwork is due November 1st)
Costs: $2,200 (independently fundraised)
Max Attendance: 15 teens
Location: Located in the villages of Duverger and Danndan approximately 80 miles west of Port au Prince. We head 57 miles west then turn left into the mountains for another 20 miles. You get to see the city, coast line and then up into the mountains for a fun adventure through the country side (crossing a shallow river now and then!) The ride usually is about three-four hours with stops along the way for bathroom breaks etc. Occasionally traffic can make the trip longer.
Vaccinations: We do not check to see who is or who is not vaccinated. Some missionaries get all of them and some missionaries do not get any. More information will come in our informational meeting.
Cell Service/Internet?: No cell phones will be allowed on this trip (no, not even for pictures). Internet service is also very limited (i.e. if there is one cloud in the sky, the internet doesn’t work…not exaggerating). When available, Mickayla will send 1-2 update e-mails.
Lodging: We stay within the orphanage’s locked compound with indoor showers/toilets, and electricity.
Requirements: 1) All forms below plus photocopy of your passport (see #3 below) are due NO LATER THAN October 1st (Additional forms to followCompleted forms are to be turned into Mickayla at Resurrection Rectory during normal business hours. Forms must be completed by every person attending the mission trip (including the adult chaperones).
2) You must attend all informational meetings/team bonding. All meetings will take place in Read Hall (Lower Resurrection Church).
3) Photocopy of your passport. As a general rule, passports should have at least six months of validity when traveling internationally. Most countries will not permit a traveler to enter their country unless the passport is set to expire at least six months after the final day of travel. That means if your passport has less than six months remaining until the expiration date, you should renew it right away (Federal Rule)!
