“As a Eucharist-centered movement within the Roman Catholic Church, Life Teen leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor and guide, Life Teen seeks to unleash the fullness of the Sacramental power present within the young Church.”
What is Seaside Life Teen? Seaside Life Teen is Hingham’s very own youth ministry program where teens grades 9-12 are invited to come together on Sunday nights for Life Nights. These Life Nights will follow the 5:30 Life Teen mass and will be a time of fellowship, games, catechesis and community! Beyond Life Nights, this dynamic program will also be participating in outings, service projects, mission trips and much more!
What are Life Nights? Life Nights are open to all teens, grade 9-12, and also serve as an opportunity for those preparing for Confirmation to receive points. They will be the primary time each week where social activities, current teen issues, or catechesis will be given in an engaging and relevant way. Life Nights will be held following the Life Teen mass from 6:45-8:15 PM in Read Hall below Resurrection Church.
What’s the Life Teen Mass? The Life Teen Mass is an effort to invite teenagers back to Church whereby they can experience Christ in a more intimate setting along with other teens. During the Life Teen Mass (5:30 PM Every Sunday at Resurrection) the various liturgical ministries such as reading, distributing the Eucharist, ushering, and altar serving, will all be run by teens. The homilies and music will be geared toward the teens. The Life Teen mass is meant to create a comfortable atmosphere whereby teens can worship together, find an accepting and welcoming atmosphere, and the assurance that there are others who long for the same Christ.
