Seaside Edge 8th Grade Faith Formation

All Sessions are scheduled on Sundays from 6:30-8, following attendance at the 5:30 Life Teen Mass.

Seaside Edge 8th Grade Faith Formation will be using the Decision Point program created by Dynamic Catholic.

What is Dynamic Catholic?

Dynamic Catholic was founded on the idea of “meeting people where they are and leading them to where God is calling them to be.” Through content and concept rich short films and presentations, Core Team personal witness talks, small group discussions and activities, Dynamic Catholic presents the Church’s teachings faithfully and in ways that are engaging and relevant for middle schoolers. It offers Catholic catechesis to bring to life the teachings of Jesus Christ, and it also uniquely offers evangelization by invoking dialogue that leads to conversion of heart, mind and soul. Learning is applicable and faith becomes personal. This program will not only prepare young Catholics for the Sacraments of the Church in a dynamic way, but also teach and inspire them to respond and cooperate with God’s grace in all the circumstances of their daily lives.

Meet Tahni Morell:
Seaside 8th Grade Faith Formation Director

Hi everyone! My name is Tahni Morell and I am psyched to be serving as your 8th Grade Faith Formation leader. Passion with purpose was cultivated during my undergraduate years at U.C. Berkeley, molded by my professional fundraising career at United Way and has culminated in my 29 years serving in youth ministry. Whether it be through leading retreats, delivering witness talks, volunteering on Lifeteen Core and more, one of the greatest joys in my life is witnessing a teen experience the “aha” moment when they encounter God’s personal and unconditional love. As a widowed single mother for 12 years, I have leaned on God to serve as my partner for guidance as I raise my three children, Julia (23), Mike (20) and Matt (16). I praise and thank God for His provision throughout the years. This is my hope for every 8th grader: to learn more about, appreciate and experience the richness of our Catholic faith and to develop a more personal relationship with God — one that is steadfast throughout the inevitable ups and downs of life, where they can turn to find refuge and comfort, joy and peace. I look forward to humbly and joyfully serving the parents as a partner on their 8th grader’s faith journey. Know that you will, by name, be in my daily prayers.  I can be reached anytime at edge8@hinghamcatholic.org.
